A1: Yes. Bone Health Centers typically have several years of historical DXA scans
saved on various media such as CDs, Optical Disks, Super Disks and Computer Hard
Drives before they acquire BoneStation. Before a customer begins using BoneStation,
Cardea Technology will provide
an import of all historical data and images to the BoneStation database.
Once the historical data and images are stored, they can be viewed through the
BoneStation interface for follow-up patient visits and serial comparison
to current scans.
A2: Yes. Bone Health reports created in BoneStation can be formatted and transmitted
to EMR systems with an HL7 interface.
A3: Yes. BoneStation has been proven to reduce work time
by up to two thirds. Please
contact us by email for specific inquiries.
A4: Yes, as long as your computer has an internet connection and meets the minimum
technical requirements listed in our product specification.
A5: BoneStation is available in two editions,
Enterprise and ASP (Application Service Provider). The cost of each depends on various factors,
such as scan volume, software features selected and technical requirements. Please check our
pricing information page or
contact us for a custom needs analysis and price quote
for your organization.
A6: A function available in the bone densitometer software is enabled that transmits
analyzed DXA scans electronically to another destination.
After a scan is analyzed by a technologist, the technologist sends it over a secure network
to BoneStation's secure database. The BoneStation application then displays
the stored scan and data in the web interface.
A7: The BoneStation application and database is stored
on a secure server. The server can be located at Cardea's data center or
at your site.
A8: Before BoneStation is ready to use,
the software is configured according to your requirements, a database is created
and the application is installed and tested. This project usually lasts several weeks.
