Much attention is being given to the implementation of
Electronic Medical Records systems and their effectiveness.
EMRs are deemed to be important vehicles for improving overall
operational efficiency, reducing costs and improving patient
health outcomes. Before purchasing a system, it should be
carefully evaluated for these factors as well as ease of use.
BoneStation, as an electronic DXA Bone Mineral Density workflow
and reporting system, offers tremendous advantages for managing
BMD exam records.
In 2009, Dr. Harold Rosen and staff at the Osteoporosis
Prevention and Treatment Center at Beth Israel Deaconess
Medical Center in Boston evaluated the implementation of BoneStation
at their practice. They compared their BMD work flow and
reporting process before and after implementation and
discovered that BoneStation's systematized program had
significant benefits over the former method.
