BoneStation's DEXA bone density workflow and reporting solution is available
in two editions to accommodate the needs of different
radiology and bone density practices, from small clinics with one DEXA machine to
large radiology centers providing many imaging services.
ASP (Application Service Provider) Solution
For clinics that need to outsource health care information technology management,
the ASP system
offers a fully managed practical solution for storing large quantities of
DEXA scan images, data and bone density reports.

Because Cardea Technology manages the system for you, the ASP edition requires
minimal maintenance from your organization's IT staff.

Cardea provides equipment (server and
software) and stores and manages
customer data remotely at a managed
data center. Data
management practices meet and in some
cases exceed current HIPAA
requirements.

Scans are transmitted from bone
densitometer computers at the
customer site(s) to a central gateway
encryption program, also at the customer
site, and then transmitted securely to the
customer’s BoneStation database at
Cardea’s data management center.
The Enterprise solution
The Enterprise solution is a dedicated SQL server that links
bone density equipment and hospital information systems to BoneStation's central
database and software application. This solution is managed by the customer on the
customer's
site.

Customer provides equipment (server
and operating software) and manages the system and
data.

Cardea installs BoneStation on
customer’s hardware and customer
installs hardware at their site.

Scans are transmitted on customer
network to the BoneStation database at
customer’s site.
